Impression of the new CALT space-aircraft,
launched a top of the CZ-5 booster

Future space exploration depends on success in the development of nuclear space-aircraft.
Sun Zezhou, chief designer of China’s Chang’e III lunar spaceship told Oriental Outlook weekly that for exploration of the planets further from the sun such as Jupiter, it is not practical to rely wholly on energy from the sun. By that time there will be greater demand for nuclear power for spaceships.
China began the research into space nuclear reactor in the 1970s but suspended the research for some time.
During the ninth five-year plan (1996-2000), China completed the design in concept of space nuclear reactor.
Since the tenth five-year plan (2001-2005), China began the initial design and the tackling of key technical problems of space nuclear reactors.
In December 2013, China openly announced that it had successfully completed the research of its “scheme for large space nuclear propulsion”.
Sun said that at present, China is entirely capable of Mars exploration including the capabilities of launching the carrier rocket, control and surveillance.
According to his analysis, the Changzhen V rocket that will soon be successfully developed can send spaceship able to soft-land on Mars but not to bring back samples to Earth. He believes that China will explore Jupiter within the coming 15 years; therefore, there will be more urgent demand for space nuclear propulsion technology in the coming decade.
Sun and other experts talked about the difficulties in building a space nuclear reactor and America’s and Soviet Union’s failure in developing such reactors in the past but did not reveal what progress China has made in overcoming the difficulties.

Shenlong

President Xi Jinping’s recent call for the PLA to speed up building an integrated space and air force has drawn keen international attention.
Foreign media are giving sensationalizing reports on that. There is no shortage of bold speculation. Some media have even reported that China is testing an aerospaceplane codenamed Shenlong that is able to reach the US in one hour. It deals a heavy blow at the US if what they report is true.
According to a report the US has most recently published, China is testing Shenlong aerospace fighter that is able to reach the US in one hour.
The report says that Shenlong is much smaller than US X-37B fighter and has been researched for much less time, but it can carry small rockets with surprising power.
There is information that Fujiang Longxi Bearing (Group) Corp., Ltd. conscientiously cooperated with the research institute for the fighter in producing the bearings it needed. For that the institute gave the company a board of inscription and a letter of gratitude.
China has successfully carried out test flight of Shenlong, but it is too small. Now the space designers are perhaps trying to develop an enlarged version of Shenlong aerospaceplane.
Chinese aerospace equipment experts have held quite a few secret meetings for that and have begun the work on the design of the large aerospaceplane.
Russian media has also pointed out: large aerospaceplane is of great practical value; therefore, China has invested lots of funds and workforce in the research and development for it and has obtained considerable achievements.

J-28 Six-generation Space-air Fighter Jet for Star War
A Russia media has recently exposed: China is doing research for the development of J-28, its sixth-generation fighter jet.
It is precisely what China has always been doing in developing its weapons: Production and improvement of one generation, research and development for the next generation, preliminary research form a third generation and exploration for a fourth.
China’s Aviation Research Institute No. 611 is now doing the research for J-28, which shall be a sixth-generation multi-function stealth fighter jet. It is said that J-28 is able to conduct accurate conventional hit to counter the nuclear threat from the entire solar system.
The laser weapon a J-28 carries is so strong that it can melt a nuclear missile launched from any planet or satellite in solar system. J-28’s speed is so high that even if it fails to intercept a missile the first time, it can chase the missile to hunt it.
In addition, it is such a wonderful stealth fighter that it cannot be detected by either radar or radio telescope.
The report says as the United States has conducted enough survey to know the Mars, it is expected that the US will establish a nuclear missile base in 2018.
In order to deal with the nuclear threat from solar system, China has begun its development of J-28, its sixth-generation multi-function stealth fighter jet.

Shenlong. space-aircraft
Zhuang Fenggan, China’s aeronautics authority, discloses that China has always been conducting research and development of aerospaceplanes, which is the most important platform for space weapons. China’s mystic space warfare force will gradually be known to the public.
An aerospaceplane is a vehicle that can fly in both air and space characterized by high speed, maneuverability and undetectability and long range. Moreover, Mr. Zhuang says China’s aerospaceplane will be one of the best in the world in terms of shape, functions and performance.
China began research and development of aerospaceplane in 2000 in response to US decision on development of missile defense system referred to as “New Space War”. Over the past few years, China has invested lots of financial and human resources in such research and development.
China is advanced in high-energy laser technology. It is able to shoot laser beam from its space base to blind enemy low-orbit satellites. What made the US feel threatened is its recent launch of a satellite with a robotic arm to capture enemy satellites. That will be a much better way than destroying an enemy satellite as it does not generate space rubbish.
